Robert Younger ‘69 (Sculpture) is a polymath artist who has investigated many art genres from painting, sculpture, installation, mail art, and performance. Born in Philadelphia, he received a BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art (1969) and studied at the Yale Graduate School of Fine Arts. He received a Fulbright for study in Italy and has also received awards from the New York State Council on the Arts, the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and the Joan Mitchell Foundation. Younger has shown widely at Barbara Gladstone Gallery, American Fine Arts, the Queens Museum, the New Museum, PS1 and Art Park in New York and Drexel University, the ICA, The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He was a member of the Bricolage performance theater with Mark Campbell, Peter Rose, Gerald Nichols and Richard Flood in the 1980s in Philadelphia and New York.
